How to avoid Fiverr deportation and be successful on Fiverr

Last updated on

Fiverr deportation is one of the challenges faced by Fiverr sellers who for any reason are not using their country flag on their profile.

There are several reasons why you may not want to use the flag of your country of residence.

Maybe the service you want to offer is targeted to a location outside your country.

Whatever reason that prompted you to change your country flag on Fiverr, here I will share with you some tips that will avoid Fiverr deportation on judgment day.

As we all know, there is always no place in the sign-up form to choose our country or location.

Your location will be detected automatically from the IP address that you are using to sign up.

This why people use VPNs to change their current location to the location they want to be reflected in their Fiverr account.

This issue is very common among Nigerian Fiverr sellers.

Not that Fiverr deportation happens to only Nigerians. If you change your IP from your country of residence to another country, maybe the USA while signing up for Fiverr in the quest for having a USA flag in your account, then deportation is inevitable.

Firstly, I have to tell you the evil that you are doing to yourself.

Why your Fiverr account was deported and why your next account may be deported

No 1: Using shared IP to access your Fiverr account

This IPs changes often. Imagine using a shared VPN to log in to your Fiverr account 5 times in a day, that simply means 5 IPs in a day, the robots will know that this person is using a proxy.

No. 2: Using the same browser when on VPN and when VPN is off. Cookies are very small but powerful. Cookies are used to track your online activities.

No. 3: Your browser is exposing your real IP (location) to Fiverr using WebRTC technology.

No. 4:  Accessing your account using Fiverr mobile application – These guys use log, so your login activity is recorded on both PC and mobile application.

If the application can have full network access, it can have access to your IP thereby detecting the country.

Confirm by reading Fiverr app permission on Google play store or see attached image.

No. 5: Your PC time doesn’t align with your IP location time.

If you must change your IP address then the time on your PC must align with the time in the location that you are browsing from — Here is how to change time zone in Windows 7 in case you are using that Windows

No. 6: Verifying your account with a phone number that is different from the location of your IP address.

Actually, I don’t know if this is a major determinant for Fiverr deportation, but it is suspicious using a phone number with a different country code from that of your IP address.

I’m not too sure if they use this as a criterion for deporting suspicious accounts on the marketplace.

How to avoid Fiverr deportation

To every problem, there is always a solution.

It’s high time we thought of how to maintain our Fiverr account for a long-term and avoid deportation.

Here are some preventive measures to put into consideration to make sure your Fiverr account is not deported again.

1.  Get a dedicated IP address. A shared IP will always get you into trouble so think about it.

If you still want to be in trouble, then it’s fine!

2. Stick to one browser for Fiverr activities. When setting up the VPN, you will understand why.

3. Disable WebRTC on your browser.

4. Stop using the mobile application unless you’re on VPN. VPN on mobile cannot be trusted.

I have experienced many that countless times. VPN may turn off while you ignorantly continue with your internet activities.

That risk is not worth taking.

5. Go to, check the time zone your IP location is and set up on your PC.

6. The best bet is to verify your Fiverr account with the country phone number.

Look for someone in that location that you can use his/her phone number.

Maybe you make friends with that person then use his phone line.

You can check for people in that locality from forums in that country, connect and start conversing.

You may not just go straight to asking for his or her phone number, you may be denied.

Create a relationship first before going into the main business that interested you to holla at him or her.

I think this is all my little head can carry for now.

If you have other tips on how to stay safe on Fiverr and avoid deportation, feel free to contribute to this post by sharing your thoughts in the comment section.

I wish you all the best in your freelancing journey.

More $$ to the account, always remember that giving up is not an option.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
