How do I find out which sim is receiving the incoming call in an android dual sim phone

If your android device is a dual sim phone and you are using both sim card slots simultaneously, you might want to find out which sim is receiving the incoming call in your android dual sim phone.

Knowing the sim through which the call is coming through will help you decide whether you want to receive the call or not.

Situations where you have only one sim inserted into your dual sim phone and your friend who got a low battery from his or her phone, expecting an important call requests you insert his or her sim in the remaining card slot, you might not want to take any call coming from the sim card of that your friend.

Here is where to know exactly which sim card that the call is coming through.

Any dual sim phone will always have an indicator at the top of the phone when it’s ringing so you can know the sim card where the call is coming from.

Now all you need to know is the sim slot labeling – Sim 1 and Sim 2

Take note of the sim slot that you have inserted your own sim and the slot that you have assigned or reserved for your friend.

In my own opinion, the sim card of the phone owner should occupy the sim 1 slot.

Once you have an incoming call on the phone, the first place to sight on the phone screen is the top of the caller picture

Above the answer and reject button, there you will see the label from the sim slot where the call is coming from and the name of your telecom service provider.

If you have true caller app installed on your phone, it’s another way of detecting where the call is coming from.

If the call is coming from sim 1 for example, you will see a tiny sim icon in the true caller pop blue box right before the phone number that is calling.
