  • Now that you know that your phone has, navigate to the “Security” section in your phone settings (where you set up other phone lock options)
  • Tap on “Fingerprint”
  • If there is any fingerprint added to the phone already, you will need that fingerprint or security password before you are granted access to this section where you can delete fingerprints or add more
  • Under fingerprint management, tap on “Add fingerprint”

  • Now you will have to place the finger you wish to be using as your phone’s fingerprint on the fingerprint sensor
  • In some phones, you may need to place your finger severally until you get this message “Fingerprint has been added successfully”
  • Now tap on the “Done” button and you are done!

By default, the fingerprint you just added to the phone will be named as “Finger1” 2, 3 or 4, depending on how many fingerprints has been added to the phone.

You can also rename the fingerprint to a name you can easily recall.
